FEATURING: DHINESH
Q&A WITH DHINESH!
How are you?
D: Same old soup, just reheated.
What’s the soup of the day?
D: Clam chowder
What are you drinking right now?
D: Les clos perdus 2015
How do you know Byron?
D: We’re actually primary school friends (we met in symphonic band). We lost contact after secondary school, but reconnected at a coffee convention, then met again at Deck. I subscribed to Quarter Life Coffee, and the rest is history.
What do you do?
D: 1. Brew coffee 2. drink beer 3. eat good
If you weren’t doing coffee things, where would you be instead?
D: On Jurong Island doing chemical engineering. *stares off into the distance looking traumatised* I’ve seen some things there
What’s something most people don’t know about you?
D: I’m not actually as grumpy as people think I look, I just don’t feel like talking.
What kind of music do you listen to?
D: More of a mix of rock, 70s to 90s old stuff, lofi — something to space out to.
What are your pet peeves?
D: Rude people, people with no manners (eh ur mother never teach you manners ah), and people who slurp their food or chew loudly.
What would your last meal on earth be?
D: French toast with heavy cream and rum in the batter, rum-infused whipped cream, a stack of bacon and a fukton of maple syrup, kbs maple stout on the side and a gallon of water #hydrohomies
What’s it like working with Quarter Life Coffee?
D: I have better control over creative outlets and being able to express myself, and everyone I meet is always an inspiration for new ideas. Like, I could just be chilling with someone and they’d be like “wouldn’t it be crazy if we did this and this”. I don’t have the added pressure to innovate, it happens naturally.
Byron: Also, Byron is a CB
D: Yeah, don’t write that down.
